Why do you support apprenticeships within your department? In the role I’m currently in, the shortage of skilled LGV technicians is a huge problem. The only real way to secure the multiple skills required is through home grown apprentices

What are the greatest achievements of your apprentice’s at work so far? – In their later years, when they eventually find that niggly fault, repair something, or successfully carry out a repair, you feel proud that you’ve assisted with that journey. From the day they start, every successful job is and should be an achievement

What was the name of your apprenticeship and when did you finish it? Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (levels 2 and 3) finished it in October 2019

When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult? A fireman

What’s your biggest achievement so far? It has not happened yet; I am getting married in June

When you were a child, what did you want to be as an adult? A power ranger (the red one)

What do people don’t know about you? I lived in Spain for 10 years, and I can’t speak a word of Spanish
