We have always tried to be a force for good and contribute positively to society since we started in 1933. As a family business in the UK’s smallest county, we have strong ties to society and the environment around us, and we are hardwired to contribute whenever we can

We invest in the future; sustainability and contributing positively to society are important parts of the family legacy. Each member of a family business does what feels like the right thing to do, and for CS Ellis, it has always been about how we exist in Rutland and the impact we have upon our environment and our community

Ahimsa Eco Farm, meet Cocoa

The ethical choice, milk by hand, cows retire, oxen work the land

We were approached by Emily at Ahimsa for cardboard to help build a forest garden and market garden at Ahimsa. Ahisma means no harm to the animals or the land, and currently the waiting list for the milk is over 1000 names
